The
world is dark. The economy is bad. Dark forces are at
hand. The world is at a dismal place. The people are
crying out for a hero.
But we don’t give them one we give them MANY!
At the beginning Super!Power! – the Rock Opera wasn’t
more than a song and a dance invented by the
Super!Power! team and put out on YouTube for public
use. An ivitation for imiation, copy, variation,
participation and co-authorship. At the end there
stands an entire rock opera. YouTube Blogger from
Antarctica to Argentina, from Sydney to Stockholm
demonstrate together with more than 30 live performers
from Berlin what Super!Power! means to them, should be
or could be. Even the music of the rock opera was
developed as a collective project between the band The
Understated Brown (TUB) and musicians from the YouTube
community.

Super! Power! – The Rock Opera is the formation of a community using song and dance. It is a Do It Yourself Rock Opera that addresses questions of democracy and collectivity.
YOU define what Super! Power! is - can be - and will be. Make a video.
TOGETHER we will make a rock opera. All videos are collected online.
They will be part of a live performance of Super! Power! – the Rock Opera in Berlin at the HAU theatre in 2010.

The Real Superhero Documentary of Berlin
Street-Art – Parallelwelt – Film
Die wahren Superhelden kleben an Hauswänden, Stromkästen und Laternenpfählen. Das Labor geht ihrem Eigenleben auf den Grund. Auf der Straße werden die Spuren dieser Street-Art-Figuren gesammelt, ihren Erscheinungen Sound und Bild gegeben. Im Studio entstehen daraus ein Plot, ein Soundtrack, Film und Aktionen, die zu einer Live-Filme-Performance zusammengesetzt werden. Nach The Real Superhero Documentary of Berlin werden die Zuschauer die Stadt nie mehr so sehen können wie zuvor.
